MY WIENER DOG BIT SOMEONE'S WEENIE | Cesar Solves the Case | Limited Series

Rescuing a dog is one of most unselfish and fulfilling things a pet parent can do. Giving pets their forever home by rescuing a dog doesn’t just come with its love, but also it could come with its past. However, there is a difference between stories and realities. Dogs live in the moment and don’t dwell on their past. Cesar shows how Pet Parents can sometimes hold onto their past that affects their own future.
In this episode of "Cesar Solves The Case", Kendall Long joins us at Cesar Millan’s ranch as she is having trouble with her rescue saved from a kill shelter in Korea, Pistachio. We applaud Kendall for her choice and thank Bunnies & Buddies for having a mission to help save dogs from kill shelters.
Kendall's issue is that to her Pistachio doesn’t like people too much. Every pet parent has experienced something like this and could lead to a feeling that their dog is aggressive. Pistachio barks at Kendall’s friends, guests, and has even bit someone’s ******. Talk about trust issues, right?
Pistachio's issues according to her continue into how her dog gets aggressive when greeting people and leads to nipping. Cesar, throughout this episode, helps Kendall understand how Pistachio can start to trust other people and not feel he has to protect her. A key lesson is that pet parents need to remember to keep giving direction, so your dog knows that you know how to protect.
Dogs detect energy. Always remember that. Dog's don't investigate your past, but they are going to assess and evaluate at that moment. They teach us that it's not always about the past, so we must learn to let go.
Watch and Find out if Cesar Can Solve the case!

I know I'll catch some slack for saying this... But I have no use for any dog smaller than a beagle!!! Lol i think every girl I've dated that had a small dog and treated them like kids on weird level. I love my dogs but they won't dictate my life. Treating them like they are family, great! But it's off-putting when we can't go to a movie bc snowflake has been alone for a couple hours.

The reason we in USA “see discipline as the same as punishment” is because parents punish their children by shaming and blaming and unreasonable anger at them, and then they call that “discipline”, so we grow up with a bad idea towards disciplining dogs believing it is harmful to the relationship with the dog and that the dog will hate them for disciplining them. It is bc parents traumatize children and call it discipline. But the real meaning of discipline is direction, guidance, to stay out of harm’s way and to make the pack run smoothly and peacefully and not be in chaos, with the result of less anxious energy and more peace so the dogs can feel safe and relax and play and work.

  • Orange Ziggy
    Orange Ziggy

It is embedded in USA culture to treat dogs like our babies, especially cute dogs like dachshunds. If she had a large dog then it might be easier to treat it as an adult. Americans don’t have a word for “calm, cool, directive leadership energy” and it is not an idea that is spoken about except for Cesar on this show- so it is a totally new concept to learn; and also to learn how to behave like this, especially if you have an anxious personality, is a personal challenge that people don’t realize they’re signing up for when getting a dog. Cesar is the only person teaching this concept.

I'll be honest, I follow Kendall on Instagram ever since "Bachelor in Paradise" not sure if her season was 2018 or 2019; stumbled upon this video watching Cesar Millan videos, though. Kendall always posts Pistachio in her FB stories. Even when she is 1-on-1 with him, you can tell that it's not a particularly friendly dog. In fact come to think of it I've never seen a less-friendly dog on Instagram. Seems to never smile and is disinterested. No disrespect to Kendall and in fact I think Pistachio is adorable. Just not friendly.

We also rescued our wiener from a negative situation. He had separation anxiety issues. It took a long time to convince him everything was okay. Shortly after rescue he got epilepsy. I find I'm now just too protective of him. He is super intelligent and such a cutie pie. I understand dogs are pack animals and should be together with other animals. But not sure if it's a good idea to get him a friend under the circumstances.

I never thought I'd get so much out of these videos, and not as a dog owner. I have a dog, but she's not a problem in our lives at all. The things I'm getting from this is how to be confident. With a dog, with life in general. I feel like my own self-doubt is dog I can't control. It attacks, it hurts. It's hostile towards new faces and more than anything, it protects me in such a way that ultimately keeps me sheltered in an unhealthy way that stops me from progressing in my life. Especially now as a professional. I have this complex of not being a professional person and responsibility scares me to the point that I resort to fantasizing about being a low-level worker at some gas station or something. At least I don't have to worry. At least if I fail, it won't be a big fail. But it keeps me safe, boring, unmotivated. It's my worst enemy, my own self-doubt. I want to be confident. I want to stand broad-shouldered at my fears and find happiness and meaning from it. I hope I find it. Sorry to unload my entire life on a random IRbin video. Maybe that's part of my problem lol

Hi Ceaser, I have a Sharpei her name is Mia. My mom lives across my apartment so we are always at each others homes. My mother has 2 dogs and they get along fine, but when my sister comes over or my aunt with thier dogs we have to lock Mia in my apartment cause they do not get along. Although i believe its not just Mia’s fault as everyone panics if she comes in when there is the other dogs. I live In Malta europe so I don’t think you could come to help us. But could you give us some advice on how we could start introducing her to other dogs. I’ve watched all your shows and I’ve just discovered your youtube program and I’m definatly going to watch everything you create. Great Idea. P.S. when I was 12 I was bitten by a dog in the face and I had 27 stiches, I have beaten my fear of dogs yet I still am reluctant with strange dogs. Could you put up a video for people who have been severely bitten and show them how to overcome their fear of dogs?
