Hey Caesar! What should I do with my German shepherd who's aggressive towards anything that has 4 legs? He almost got in a nasty dog fight. Already has a lot of anxiety and fear. I just dont know how to help him anymore and it really upsets me that I can't give him what he needs! Please message me at Victoria.briere@gmail.com!!

    • Jessica Gislason

You can teach them to recognize how energetic to be with a puppy, normally if a female dog is introducing puppies to a pack they'll supervise and discipline both adult and puppy simultaneously to keep the puppy from getting hurt and so the puppy doesn't get the adult dog worked up in the case of lack of manners. Just get in your dogs space and make them calm down and wait before socializing again till the other dog realizes he can only play if he makes sure he's gentle. Our labradoodle is like that, so he knows the word 'baby' means whatever the animal is it should be treated with care, works whith every baby farm animal rodent and puppy we've introduced, and he is a natural hunting dog so he's also pretty reactive at times.

I have a German Pointer puppy who was introduced to my dogs, he get along with 2 of them but he keeps challenge the oldest dog I have a little poodle with 15 years old, she is quite a calm dog, doesen't like to much play and everytime she tried to show de puppy their limit the puppy gets angry and try to fight her. Maybe its because she is little and more weak than the puppy? I didn't find any answers to that or how to correct this situation. could you help me?

hi Cesar, hope youre doing well, im a big fan from south Africa, I have one boerbull x breed of almost 2 years of age and is very people friendly, but with other dogs he is aggressive, we own 2 yorksie terriers but he never minds them, but recently we got a sossage dog puppy of 7 weeks old and the 2 yorksie terriers accept him, and we introduced the new puppy to the boerboel alpha male just like we did whitg the other doggies and it seems that the alpha dog is getting a long with the puppy he would lay down and wait for the puppy to come to him, but when all the dogs are outside he would follow the small puppy and knibble on him and when their just inside, the puppy is a male and one yorksier terrier and the alpha male , is this something to be worried about?

My question is where would you go to properly make sure your dog is socialized enough with other adults dogs if it isn't a good idea to take it to the dog park? If you don't have any other friends that have dogs, would the best way to do that be on a walk where you could have a higher chance meeting more stable and less gravitated or stressed out dogs?

Vaccinated? Just because vaccination has become a law it does NOT mean that it is best for animals. It is certainly not best for humans. Stop pushing the pop culture of following the government's rules. Unvaccinated dogs live longer, healthier lives. This has turned me away from Cesar's way.

Depends, I think. I agree your dog needs to be vaxed first at a minimum. In my country the vet dosn't recommend the dog have contact with other dogs until they are fully vaccinated.

I have a problem with introducing my new puppy to my adult dog. He attacked him and had couple of bites and he is like 2 months old very small while my labrador is 8 years old and big. I thought my old dog was okay cause he keeps on sniffing him but at the spur of moment he bites him on the spot, I was so shocked but I definitely grab the puppy away. Now im so scared to introduce him again and have them in the same room.😕😕 what to do?!!!

Maybe someone can help with this question. My dog is about 9 months old. He is fairly excited but not aggressive. I trained him myself. I started socializing him as soon as he had all his shots. He plays well with other dogs at the dog park, but yesterday I took him to a different park and he got attacked twice by two different dogs. He didn't fight back, the idiot. I'm wondering if that's because of his excitement. He just loves to play. But he's never been attacked at the local park, so i'm reluctant to put the blame on his temperament. I'm going to keep working with him on his excitement when meeting new dogs, cause i noticed the hairs on his back stands up until after he starts playing. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

    • Debbie Sunshine Tomko
      Debbie Sunshine Tomko

Ozymandias he will never be the same, since he got attacked by those other dogs. When I train my dogs, I teach them to go into a sit position when confronted by another dog, until I tell them to move. When they do this, even if an aggressive dog approaches them barking, growling, aggressively, they will immediately stop and retreat. So far, it has worked with my dogs. Good luck...and watch out for those dog parks. There are a lot of diseases, worms that your dogs can pick up...

Man who claims to have a degree, yet types in all caps. Also "has not education"? Can you at least proof read before you spam the comment section like an immature child? I'm not syaing your are outright wrong, the pack theory is flawed in regards to talking about alphas ect, and many people misunderstand what an "alpha" is. But, dogs are social animals, they are not solitary animals. Also, experience is a much better source of information then a degree. All the theory and academia in the world isn't going to help you when faced with a snarling raging animal, only experience can teach you what to do in that situation. Of course, prevention is the best cure, but when you're dealing with someone elses dog all the bets are off.

Don't listen to him ^ It's common that happens, the older dog doesn't know how to deal with the younger pup yet. Keep an eye on them and look out for any agression but try to assosiate the pup with a positive situation. Take them on walks together, since they are comfortable walking together, that is a great time for bonding.

I was attempting to take my 5 month old playful GSD to local dog park one day since it's pretty much no fur-friends for him to interact or play with other than an obese Lab and a hyper-barking, super annoying Mini Schnauzer on our right and left neighbors' houses. Thank you for this video. I have a bichon boy who's a year and a half and my sister just introduced a cockapoo pup bitch to the pack- but the pup is very full on continuously chasing and biting the Bichon- he tries to communicate with her telling her that his had enough but she only goes submission to then trick him and she back again. This has consequently made him jump every time she goes near him seemingly calmly which off course sets the whole thing off again. Any advice??

Lesley Wilkins It's been PROVED DOGS ARE NOT PACK ANIMALS. Btw Cesar Millar is banned from training dogs in Germany and has not education in anything to do with animals everything is what his mother did to him and he speaks about it loads in interviews and stuff like that.

Great advice except the vaccines.... please do your research about vaccine damage. Just google vaccine damage and how to protect your puppy using homeopathics. Many of aggregation issues and health conditions stem from vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm medications and awful kibble diets... please do an extensive research before you poison your beloved pups. Too many dogs dying prematurlly and there is a reason for it. It is time you made the decisions for your pets and not the vests who make a good buck off your hard earned $$.

      Stettafire

In that case, that's fine. Just please don't allow your dog to contact other dogs. You could make mine sick since mine has an autoimmune disease and can't be vaxed as a result. Your dogs could make mine very, very, sick. Even if your dogs are healthy and can live through the disease, mine can't. So, seriously, don't let your dogs near other dogs, you could kill them.

Awesome4108 If you keep your animals in a controlled environment , and don't let them around other animals stools...then you don't have to worry. But, I can tell you one thing from experience....long ago, back in the seventies I believe, I had a puppy sync he got really sick. The vet. told me it was a new disease, Parvo, and it was fatal. I took him home, he stopped eating, kept vomiting, and was near death. I prayed and prayed. Then I tried feeding him sweets, cakes. It worked. Slowly he started keeping the food down and starting putting weight back on. I slept in the floor with him every night. After a few months, he was fine. I took him back to the vet., who was shocked and requested a blood sample and everything I did to save him, since it worked. I would not want anyone to go through what I had to go through with my puppy...so some vaccines are very important...:-)

    • TheAngieIshmael
      TheAngieIshmael

Completely agree. Only vaccinate if you already feed your dog/cat crap. The food you give em and their lifestyle will take care of their immune system by itself. I work at a vet clinic, and it's scary how many people don't know anything and blindly follow what is advised. Same with humans; vaccines kill and cause all sorts of terrible problems. All part of the NWO plans! Be blessed

DuNcAn Cesar always says its their insecurities over lack of assertiveness...I've noticed in my own situations with multiple dogs of multiple ages, that when they seem territorial what helps is: 1) strong smell on a cotton pad, napkin, or cloth to "mark the territory" like vinegar or a more pleasant essential oil, then you can assert yourself as the leader, 2) cornering them slowly but gently and waiting until they lay down (if you're the owner, they shouldn't lash out but this is where a trainer present comes in handy), 3) always have a confident thought and demeanor when approaching and leading...most of these are just to assert yourself as the leader...I work with dogs all day and it's worked so well to just keep it simple...I love the puppies!🐶💜

      MiniOreoBubble

+DuNcAn I would recommend getting professional help and asking a dog trainer but just be careful they know what they're doing. Ask the trainer what their education is and if they don't have any or they just say how long they've been training dogs, dump them because they might give you the wrong information.

+m.a. :p yes I try to but my mum and sister are pushovers and let him do anything at his please, I try to give him limitations but obviously that won't work if nobody else is doing the same. He is only possessive towards other dogs, he can play absolutely fine with another dog until it has something he wants

    • Molly A
      Molly A

+GuardianAngelFanga I agree. To the original commenter: he sees you as a possession of his, you need to become the leader (be calm and assertive & give rules, boundaries, and limitations) ❤️

if your dog is protective over you, it means he doesn't think you can take care of yourself. He thinks you will die when he isn't around to protect and care for you. He is therefor dominant, and this can be very, very dangerous and could possibly kill or hurt him, someone else or even you. You NEED to step up to him, and let him know that you do not need his protection on a daily basis. Just tell him 'no' whenever he gets into his protective state of mind. I also recommend NOT going to the internet, looking around for answers. Ask your local professional, who you think knows what they're doing! Only THEN can you get real help, we can only give little bits of advice, but who knows if it'll truly be what he needs? I certainly don't. The treat protectiveness comes from dominance. Once you take away his place as pack leader, that should disappear too.

Is there a reason as to why you don't want to neuter him? I'm sure it will make him feel so much better and be easy on you as well. Imagine how frustrated he must be by not being able to mate as frequently as he needs to be.. It's just unfair to him.
